The one thing I always saw when people would volunteer to serve in our local shelter was a need for better linen. Don't get me wrong, the Sulzbacher Center tried...but if you've been in the backside of a restaraunt, you know what I'm talkin' about.
Old white aprons don't cut it. They pick up odors over time that can't be washed out. It's not a homeless thing...it's an 'everywhere' thing!Drop the quarter for someone dropping things to get something done you might not have time to. Granted they can always use those disposable plastic aprons, but won't you just feel guilty for knowing they could have been kept from getting their stomach's burned when leaning over to put a pat of butter on someone's plate?
Do the right thing.
