Looking For The Right Place

Before we got out of the shelter last year, my wife and I would pick up copies of local guides with apartments for rent, one in particular was "Apartment Finder". I never checked their site, pretty much due to not having access to the internet from a shelter readily.

It's kind of ironic, so for all of my readers trying to 'get out', check the site out. Unlike the local print version that's available in Jacksonville, the site gives locations for the entire United States market. That's great for anyone about to move or planning to relocate...if you've got a choice you can get an indicator which places are more economical throughout the country.

Just to see how close they can get on an apartment search, I did one on my Zip code where we live at now. Amazingly, it pulled up our complex as #1. I checked the listings for both our family's size/type as well as a single bedroom/bath I happen to know is rented by a fellow who commutes with me to his work in the morning.
Both were EXACTLY on the money, clear on the amenities, and on target with it's description of surrounding locale and natural resources.
Regardless what you're reason is; or where for that matter; for finding a new apartment, you really need to use this site. The information can't be matched elsewhere in my opinion.

The Googlebot...again

Strange, still. Checking LivePR sites today, the average prior the other day has gone down again. lol. I'm feeling like a yoyo.

I've started pulling off any advertising that's legit to pull and fulfilled my obligation. I've also started using rel=nofollow in anything further on the site, other than my commentors, blogrolling peeps, and paid link adverts.

I'm still glad my other sites went up, but it'll probably take until the next formal 'dance' before I get back my PR4 I just got...which isn't a biggie.

I've also gotten involved with another company with one of my blogs since I'm looking at keeping my pages clean from the 'dancer'. Not sure how well things will go...time will tell. Thinking about dabbling in video shortly...but ironically my batteries died on my camera and the store's closed.

Another thing for tomorrow. :)

Contest: Pisstakers' MyBlogLog Sundays

Ed and the gang promised to send me on a trip to the Bermuda Triangle for Christmas if I got 100 people to try and enter their "MyBlogLog Sunday" Contest...which is easy to do.

On Sunday, go to The Pisstakers site. If you're lucky, you'll be caught when they take a screen shot and feature the ten last MyBlogLog members who've visited their site. Those sites are then given mini reviews, backlinks, and mentions about what they think was the most notable blog entry they had the last week.

No badge, no linkups, just be seen and you're entered! Any easier, and you'd quit breather.

Buzz: Buying Plans Online For Your Home Can Save You Money

For those who've been following this blog, you'll recall my brief time involved with my biological father's framing business in Georgia. I had the chance of seeing first hand what's involved in building homes from the ground up.

Houseplansandmore.com recently asked that I review their site, give some buzz, and generally give my own two cents worth. I'd never checked into such a site before, since my experience has been directly with contractors having already received their blueprints from local architects.

Some of the areas in their site I checked showed selections for homes like Small Ranch House Plans, English Cottage House Plans, and Log Cabin House Plans. Depending on your family's size and makeup, each of those category pages have a number of different plans. The thing I liked most were many included basements...I'm a guy, we need our private spaces.

Roominess for the rest of the family isn't lacking either. All of them are pretty spacious, with plenty of breadth...good walk pathways from all areas and main traffic lanes...something you need when you've got even just one little one in the home...and if you're wondering about the quality of their layouts, this is one of their plans.

Good site if your looking to build one day...like us!

What He Said

Rob says it best, when bringing up how we bloggers don't sometimes remember what we should.

Rob found me through him being found when I was found by he who found him...namely, The Pisstakers!

I started reading them out of the blue when one of my other regular readers mentioned them. The site's navigation is about the best thing mentionable, other than the wit and humor spent...no pun intended...unlike them who'd try to use this line as a weapon.

Go check out Rob's mention. Rob's also another SimCity4 user/fan/addict/weird person who clued me in on the new EA SimCity Societies coming out in November. It's weird the things that can connect you'd never know, if you hadn't been pissed on.

Homeless Finding Love Online...or not

A year and a half ago a friend of the family both my wife and I know was having a hard time. She'd been in the homeless shelter cycle and had seen both her children grow out of it as well as seeing a granddaughter born into it.

Her paramour; on again off again out of his convenience; was shacked up with the flavor of the month, and she was going through a rebound period from depressed to manic.
She discovered the lure of online chat rooms and lonely men in strange places.
Throwing caution to the wind, she agreed to accept a round trip air ticket to Las Vegas and meet someone for the first time in a hotel room at the Stratosphere, against the wishes of both her daughter and her son.

She showed up back in town a week and a half later as she'd promised, and happy as could be. The 'interested' male hadn't the interest after seeing her come off the plane in her Florida tan. After paying for the tickets and hotel accomodations; a week in advance; he informed her that he was married and couldn't go through with it...her skin reminded him too much of his wife's.

Her reply to him was to either shut up and turn off the lights, or leave before she'd call his wife in a very insulted voice. The gentleman left, and she enjoyed the remaining time there with the stack of complimentary chips she'd received when passing someone on the street.
Without him in her hair, she'd managed to get back on the plane with $2,000.00 she hadn't gotten off with when landing in Vegas before.

Common things when people get out of homelessness

It takes time to adjust

  • You feel unable to relax in your new home, wondering if someone will knock on the front door to inspect it.
  • You feel out of place sleeping in a bed in the master bedroom.
  • You feel sometimes uncomfortable and alone with privacy.
  • You want to just find a realtor rather than pay rent for no investment value.
These are all common hurdles people having experienced homelessness face when transitioning from 'unsheltered' to 'sheltered', whether transitional or permament home placement. The single largest hurdle and problem 'transitioners' deal with is actually the same as what many teens do to: Peers and not setting boundaries.

Out of the all the case's of homelessness I've witnessed; both involving singles and families; the majority all face the same problem: old friends from the system asking for help. In most cases if help isn't rendered, the requestor goes on to the next person they can contact, and not heard from again since a payoff wasn't received. If help is given, it's like a fish you buy at the store:
It's good for a few days in the fridge, then stinks the whole house up.
Is this something that shelters try to teach and 'life coach' people on, before they get out of homelessness? Honestly, yes...but chances are this information is only given during one course offerred, for the sake of filling in a training sheet to prove guidelines of grants are being held to.

It's great to get someone a meal. It's great to provide a roof over their head until they're ready to do it themselves. But it's not great to put people in housing and after care management when they don't have the simple life skills...to cope with every day life sometimes.

Course, who am I to say...I just know of ten cases of singles and families that are back on the streets and shelters in Jacksonville since we got our own home ourselves.
The irony: over half of them got homes before we did.

The Joys of Windows

While installing SimCity4 back on to the PC, my younger son faced the BSOD. No restore, no OS refresh option, simple necessity to basically fdisk HD.

Bill Gates entered philanthropy to keep from getting murdered. I'm just glad I rely on my PDA and memory stick than I do on my PC.

Heading out to the grocery store to get away from this insanity. I also need to get a large CD mailer for Jubliju, since she found out she won the contest!

When Exercising Freedom Is Wrong

Contrary to popular belief, this song and video did receive attempts at banning by interested parties.

Contrary to other popular beliefs I don't give a crap.

...and the there were pieces of the plane the size of telephone books falling from the sky before it hit the ground?

Friday Night Videos: Contest Winner, Rick James back from the dead, and life coaching given freely...and I don't care if this title's too long!

Now I'm not saying...who...but the 'Eyes' have it! The judges went over EVERY post sent, the counts were tallied, and honestly it was pretty close by just two points.
Yep, I double checked the numbers as well as having my other half do it for me in case my eyes were blurring...or something.
Our fair weinner...er...winner...has won...

Clay Nelson's "Getting Started Series"!

'Having a Say in How Your Life Turns Out', the complete 3 CD Disk set; in an unopened sealed CD case, no less; that includes these tried and true offerings:
1. Creating Your Purpose: The Key to Unlocking Your Greatest Potential.
2. How to Let Fear Serve You, and
3. Committment: Getting Past "Why Do I Have to Grow?"
Contact me by email...since I'm not emailing you in hopes you're really really surprised...and I'll ship it out by Monday! If you're interested, you can check out Clay's website here. Unlike millions of life coaches with Blogger accounts trying to sell you a book, I chose to give a real life coach's Complete CD Set free of charge.
That's the best kind of life coaching ANYONE can get. Just remember...she got it here, unlike those 'other' places!

...but WAIT! THAT'S NOT ALL! All entrants were automatically included in "Johnapalooza"!
What is it? So secret and viral, I can't say here...just yet...but it's gonna be good!

Congratulations, 'Eyes'.

John's Contest: We Have A Winner!

Yep, someone won!

Nope, they haven't been told. Rules are rules, and it wouldn't be fair to have disclosed this information on Fuelmyblog.com without their consent.

But I'll follow through and announce who won here in 24 hours.

...thought you'd get lucky?

I still got 24 hours to hold this thing close to me. Maybe I'll sleep with it under my pillow this one last time.

Breaking News video of MyBlogLog Sunday 29 - an epic | Ed's blog spot |

Thanks to the man behind the OS9User identity (sounds pretty Bond, James Bondish, huh?) and the Pisstakers. This blog is featured in their first video production.

I'd send them pairs of my underwear...if I wore underwear.

Thanks dudes! Glad you were able to find a place to host it too!

(At the time of this writing, part 1 isn't able to be downloaded...but since I'm on part 2 (hint hint), it's all good!)

The Contest: FYI

The following late entry was identified by link trackback, without comment here for submission. Out of fairness to the entrants that submitted by both linking and commenting here, the entry will be considered valid unless disputed by a qualified entrant.
Translation: If none of the qualified entrants disputes it being included before the winner is announced, it's considered qualified. If a qualified entrant says 'no fair', then it's out. The identity of the disputing entrant; if any; will not be given.

Site Review: Wize.com

Many of you are familiar with the Fuelmyblog rating system for blogs, simlilar to many other online community sites...but what if you were able to rate your products...or see what a number of other users like you did? While there's a handful of sites claiming to let their members do just that, I honestly haven't seen one do it like Wize.com does.

Unlike some of the 'rant' forums, Wize.com provides both the ability to rate a product as well as information you'd expect coming right from the owner's manual of your product. The washer pictured here, it's interior dimensions are given to a tenth of an inch. Click on the picture and see for yourself.

That's just one product. Wize.com has tons of stuff, and chances are if they don't have it you'll find a related 'sponsored link' on most pages to help you get what you want...even if it's not from Wize.com.

How many places online do that? Not many. Good site, in my opinion.

Order Without Having to go to the Store

Hey, I know that you want to send flowers to that special somebody just to make them smile...just like Fracas.

I also know that finding the time to get to the store can be difficult at best…I mean, who has time to fight traffic anymore right?

That's why I love going to Vogue Flowers. They make it so easy to get send flowers online so that you don’t have to fight your way to the store to make sure that you can have fresh flowers delivered when you want them to the person you care about for any occasion.

Check them out today and I promise you’ll never order flowers from anybody else again. Fracas will be happy to get your flowers too!

Some darkness for your knowledge

Both a long day at work and a need to go over all the entries of the contest...I won't be posting this evening.

I wanted to thank everyone that entered. The judging process isn't that complex, and goes as follows:
Each entry is reviewed by an independent judge known to me but not involved within the circles I frequent.

Each judge will assign 1-6 points in specific categories such as adherence, depth, and awareness. Totals are added up, and each entry's 'value' is this total.

Entries are then placed in order of this total score. The winner will be the entry with the highest score.

In the event of a tie, the person submitting their entry first by commenting with it's url in the contest thread will be declared the winner.

Judgement is final, blah blah blah, no further information to be provided, my mother makes fun of your mother in the event of argument, ziz bam boom, any errors you find reading this on your monitor please help me out and use a Sharpie to correct them locally!
Thanks, feel the love, see ya back here when the winner's been picked.

Choosing the Right Firewall for your Business

Small businesses often find themselves in need of assistance when it comes to their computer networks. A Denver computer consultant who can come onsite and provide professional computer help is the perfect solution.

Computer security is a concern for many small businesses that use computers, but it can be confusing as to what kind of security is needed and what will best fit your business.

Firewall security is an important consideration for a business. There are many kinds of firewalls; desktop or personal firewalls, firewall appliances, and firewalls than can be made up of several systems all working together. Each different type of firewall has its benefits and its drawbacks.
When making an important decision such as how to best protect your business information and the personal information of your clients you may want a professional to guide you through the process and give you valuable advice.

If you have business in or around the Denver area, one of the Denver computer consulting specialists at J.P. Schwartz, Inc. would be an excellent choice to call for help installing the appropriate firewall and for all your computer needs. Call (303)482-1242 for more information.

Check your stats, Google PR Ranks Are IN!!!

Start this video before reading, then continue!

Well, it's ironic. My Alexa's screamed up over the last two months from being 700,000 range to 500,000 range, my search strings are fantastic in both Google and Yahoo, but I went from PR3 to PR2.

I'd bank on it being due to the amount of outbound links involved in the monetizing. No biggie. :)

[edit]
Blogger #1 I found hit as well.
Blogger #2 found.
Bam...good explanation that makes sense why I did ok, compared to others.

Another guy gets hit on it.

This guy...he blogs about his site getting a lowering to PR7, but when I checked his site, it's now a PR5!

DANG!

THE SKY HAS FALLEN, THE SKY HAS FALLEN!

...I'm goin' ta bed. Good mornin. lol.

Oh...Troy Worman...lemme check his, cause I know he was a PR5...and it still is. He's honestly the biggest 'link love' practioner I know personally, but he doesn't monetize, so what I'm seeing...yep...you monetize, you're hosed!
...and when I say 'linklove', it's not a slam. He honestly has the most links I know a person to have. That's respect, and I'm really glad to be able to know it in this case for tracking purposes.
Who...do you know?

are there any good family blogs - Google Search

This was a search string that brought some viewers my way. At the time of this posting, this blog is currently #3 out of 37,000,000 for 'are there any good family blogs' on Google.

Cool!

C.A.P.E. Program In Full Swing - FOX30Online.com

Info from Fox 30 News locally relates two cops in Jacksonville Beach working with local businesses in the downtown area there, in an effort to decrease crime.

Mention's barely touched on the homeless, who for years have had depleted services available to them as opposed to their unsheltered counterparts in nearby Jacksonville.

In September I spoke directly with Beaches Emergency Assistance Ministry Executive Director Cindy Funkhouser during the Transformations celebration at the Florida Theatre. She agreed to meet for an interview...hopefully both of our schedules will permit this shortly after the first of the year.

The Pisstakers Upcoming Video, Could I Be A Star?

Ed and the gang over at The Pisstakers do the "MyBlogLog Sunday" every week, and so far are at week #29. I've been featured a couple of times prior, and honestly really surprised I got pegged this week.

The man behind the monitor over there simply picks a time of day to look at his monitor, do a screenshot, and do a feature entry including a teaser for each blog's entry of interest for that week.

This week he's done (or doing...I don't know sometimes) a video that goes over some of the blogs and catches things that strike his eye. He's funny, his artwork's original, and I enjoy being the target of The Pisstakers whenever possible.

Check 'em out, before they find you first.

The soundtrack that made a movie

Take a close look, and figure out (without Googling) who the actors are in this film, and where the're at today.

For a better understanding of the impact of the band, click here.

While their numbers sucked in the U.K., they hit #1 on the US Hot Dance Club Play lists in 1984, and #2 on the US Hot 100 lists two years later.

Still Time Left...let me be your giver

Remember, if you want to enter the contest going on here, you've got until just a second before Monday morning hit's the East Coast of the United States, local time naturally.
Why they put GMT in Greenich, I'll never know. Dang people causin' us ta throw cargo in bays and all!

I'm a problogger now!

A few days ago I invested my quarterly performance check from my day job into an unlimited hosting option for a year at Dreamhost.com. It came with a free domain to create, so out of vanity I created one for the geeks I used to work with for networking purposes, being that I want to get back in the mix of what I used to do professionally; but from a distance; before I became as depressed as I did in 2003...which led to our family becoming homeless.

The cool thing is I'll be able to create one site a month specifically on different topics I like by investing just two contextual link opportunities a month, so I won't miss anything and be able to really blog the way I want to, about the things that are important to me.

I also emailed one company I've been involved with over how some specifics, that'll streamline how I do things so the monetizing is seamless without affecting the readership...that's why people read my stuff regularly after all.

For those of you who have sat through and honestly accepted the advertising going on her as blatantly as it did, I can't say how grateful I am to each and every one of you. I'd thank every one of you if possible, but as teary eyed as I am over what I'm feeling I don't want ANY of you guys and gals thinking I didn't think or care about you as much as anyone else.
Because I do. Some of you I contact through IMs, some email, some I frequent through comments on either your sites or MyBlogLog shoutbacks there...some see me hitting their page without leaving a comment, sometimes because I know what's going on but don't want to 'throw in' when there's others that have reasonably voiced and responded to your post just as I had.
Yeah, this is long, drawn, very succinct...and I don't care. I wish there was some way I could let you know just how special you are to me.

You are.

I'm off to get a refill of coffee, and see what kind of trouble I can get in to.

Just thanks...for being you...and I wouldn't have been able to get where I'm at right now, if not for people just like you on the other side of your monitor.

Bloopers From the MHHCP meeting

Dianne Gilbert, Emergency Services Homeless Coalition's new head in Jacksonville during a driveby at the last Medical Home for Homeless Children's Project Council Meeting attended.

I wasn't planning on this, pulled at straws what to ask her, then realized...
...I gotta do something to make her smile.
Someone's gotta ask the tough questions. Pay attention to the last question I confronted her with, as well as her facial expression.

When I Needed Underwear, You Were There

Dignity U Wear teams up with San Francisco agency - Jacksonville Business Journal:

Dignity U Wear is sending over $3.5 million worth of clothing to five locations throughout the United States, according to their Executive Director Jim Diehl.

Henry Landwirth is the man who created the non profit, knowing full well what it means to do without...he survived five years in concentration camps of Nazi Germany. I've also had the luxory of wearing his underwear...well, not his personally...you get the idea.

Thanks Mr. Landwirth. I'm proud to wear your underwear whenever possible!

Factiod: He lives in Jacksonville where Dignity U Wear operates from locally. Walter Cronkite is also on the advisory board of the company as well. Awesome!

Music: Run To The Hills

When I first heard Iron Maiden's hit, I didn't hear what many friends did. I heard some of what my Aunt Alberta related to me in my youth. She was never accepted into my uncle and father's family from the start, being 'a dirty injun'.

She's the person who offerred me my first taste of dandylion wine while on leave my first time home as a soldier. She's the person who directed the rest of the family from a chair while she managed the building of the most beautiful home and cabin I know of. She's the person who taught me so much may have been lost in history books, but should never be forgotten.

The funny thing...she's the only person I know of who saw her skin as I did. The rare occurrence of a woman being colorblind genetically.

If she wasn't told she was an indian when she was young, she probably would have sworn she was polish with her stubbornness.

Love ya, 'TeePee Mama'. This is a special rendition of the song. Please listen to it.

How To See Who Is Linking To You Easily

Yeah, there's sites you can use to see who links to you. But sometimes I myself don't want to have to open multiple sites/tools/etc to get my information quickly that I just need to know at a glance.

I related how I use Google Reader to do just that here at Bloggertalk.

Doing bad things in nice places.

I am evil.

Daddy Papersurfer's Canadian Trip Delayed

I was really hurt when I recently went through comments over at Daddy Papersurfer's blog, one of our regular Fuelmyblog.com contributors
Yes, comment thread content writing is considered a contribution...and he definately is a part of our team.
It seems fracas someone having an interest in keeping the stereotype that Canada has NO homeless has resorted to vague threats, alluding that if the video; as shown below here a few posts back; is not withdrawn, Daddy Papersurfer will not be able to enter Canada possibly.
Personally, I think this was pretty dirty. I know of a number of bloggers from Canada advocating for the many sex industry workers trying to get out of the business, who by all standards of what the McKinney-Vento Act are considered homeless when 'couch surfing'.
When your homeless, you've got two choices in getting your things from here to there. The first choice is honestly a shopping cart. I'm not ashamed to say that I've personally resorted to using one, since my wife was in the early stages of diabetes and neuropathy then.

The second more realistic choice for those travelling from overseas; since there's not an abundance of ability to get a cart through customs naturally; is to consider investing in luggage sets that are both functional and sturdy.
In Daddy Papersurfer's time of need, I'd say show me the money.
When making the choice of investing in a wheeled luggage set, make sure to consider the following:
Wheels need to be solid hard plastic. Not pieces with seams molded together. Look for wheel hardware that is similiar to the material you'd see on casters on shop quality mechanic stools.

Center of gravity must be stable. Getting over urban obstacles such as curbs, potholes, sand, dirt, and mud can all cause tip overs. Make sure than when fully loaded, your wheeled luggage can remain on it's wheels when negotiating these terrains.

Length of handles must be appropriate to the person using it the most. While gadgets may be sturdy and pretty, having to bend your back 1 degree can cause you to lose balance and ache later when standing in long lines waiting for meals, beds, and medical care lines.
Keep these things in mind, and you're wheeled luggage will be your friend as long as you have it.

In closing, please visit Daddy Papersurfer's blog and Fuel His Blog.
Do it because it's the right thing to do. I did.

Shortly after the time of this writing, it was found that this blog may have been compromised in regards to it's security. An unknown party placed the name of a blogger I have the utmost respect for as a party involved with something bad. I've since struck out the entry, and placed the original wording in italics. In the interest of disclosure, the edits are made available publicly.

Things are getting too intense for me.

Seeing as how I'm sick and even got a Doctor's not that I'm off work, it's hard lifting a finger to my mouse button.

Please...watch...this...movie...that I...made just...for you.

I don't know how long I can stay awake to read your comments before blacking out.

Please fuelmyblog after Daddy Papersurfer's. Won't you, please?

For the little ones...

Once considered the Virtual Anthem by VtMers worldwide.

...and yes, they're very strange. Don't feel bad, this is the first time I've actually seen the video after having the 10 minute MP3 since 2000.

Watch the video entirely. Fuelmyblog accordingly as your heart says.

The Question's Been Put To Ian

If he replies yes, then testing is 'GO'.

If he replies no, then I have to respect it.

If he doesn't reply, I don't know. Maybe I should just use this as part of my resume...everyone I ran it by has told me I should...but then again, they know me.

Feel the love...and wear a condom.

Cash Contests, Gay Men Loved, and Snorgtees.com Shirts!

For those of you in the know, I'm a freelance content writer for Fuelmyblog. They've got a contest going on for the top 100 voted bloggers there getting this pictured shirt, as well as the top voted blogger winning $500.00.
Right now, it's a slamfest online between fracas and Daddy Papersurfer. My money's on fracas, cause she's 'all that', and I've gotten more free soft porn viewing from her site than DP.
"I am a big deal blogger and deserve to win this funny t-shirt and win $500 because..."
1. I push the envelope. I've taken on online issues and put them up front, confronting some of the most popular sites, bloggers, and companies...all potentially at the cost of loss of readership for not giving in to 'the herd mentality'.

2. I don't care what my readers think. My readers come to read what I want them to think about. I show them love and respect they get nowhere else.

3. I tell my bloggers when what they do sucks. I never tell them they suck, because it's not about them...it's about what they're doing that sucks at the time...even if they actually suck when doing it.

4. I haven't hacked you. I restrain from doing damage to your site, your service, and your communities. This is a sign of love, respect, and maturity. It means you should register at Fuelmyblog before my medications run out and I think otherwise.

5. While a blogger, I'm the only one to have been hung up by; then; President Bill Clinton from a phone he answered in the White House, and had the guts to wear it with pride...while never having been detained by the Secret Service. That...says something in and of itself.

6. I gave my word to a little old lady that I'd call Steve Case personally about a problem she had online, and did just that, because I gave my word. That, shows integrity and being able to face the mouth of the lion in it's own den.
These are just a handful of examples why I...I should receive a shirt for being a big deal.

If you believe as I've told you reality is, fuelmyblog by clicking on this graphic to the left after watching the video to the right.

Remember, you're reading at the only blog entering a contest that has the guts to say it's not a homosexual that's bad...just that I think sticking the same sex organ of another man's in one's mouth is...but that's just my opinion. Remember, Jesus loves you.

...and sexually differently aligned people too!

My Alexa licked your Alexa this month

I love not worrying about stats for a month, the money, none of it!

Slow couple of days over at [somewhere] this last week, but it's all good.

I kicked my Alexa Ranking by over 200,000 points without trying this last 30 days, which is a good thing since I couldn't even see them the last few days.

Work on the new covert hacker's association is going well. So far I've managed to get three other peeps on board from the old days. The rough thing is most of them went 'Corporate' and can't do anything until they get off work.

In the mean time, here's some history for you.

The Fuelmyblog/Mybowlads Situation Gossip Entry

This evening I did my obligatory scan of sites I regularly visit, then picked up on the problem 'Smartie' has, in not getting her prize in a contest run over at Fuelmyblog.
It made me wonder if people think my contest is a ripoff too?
First off, my contest still has a few days to go.
The prize was well in hand in my posession prior to the contest announcement.
In all fairness, I don't know who's guilty of deception between the two parties originally from MyBowlAd.com, either the present 'Mark' or the 'not with me/us anymore "Evan"'.
I can say myself that I recall Evan listed prior on FMB's 'About Us' section, but he's not anymore.
Sorry someone didn't follow through, sorry someone paid $300.00 on good faith on a passport they wouldn't have had otherwise, and I'm sorry for everyone killed in Darfur over the last month.

On the other hand, I've read a number of remarks made in reference to the blog writers over at Fuelmyblog's blog ;Our Blog; on a handful of sites relating to this mess, some on a rant thread site, and others on blog sites picking up on the matter.
The best recommendation I can give anyone not wanting to read it...is to simply NOT read it! Living vicariously is a reader's problem, it's not the original content writer's issue to deal with.
Wanting to drag Evan and Mike through the ringer on this issue, that's fair game. As far as Kevin, better 'Contest Rules' at most would have been appropriate, like identifying that if MyBowlAd.com failed to follow through with delivery of prizes...it wouldn't be on Kevin's head or reputation.
But anyone starting crap up with Drew, Christine, Penfold, fracas, or any of the other writers involved with Fuelmyblog's content for regular readers...
...I will kick your rhetorical virtual arse.
None of them; or I; have anything to do with internal mechanics or business relationships within Fuelmyblog. Turning anger on any of us will only take it off the heels of who it needs to be on, as well as make the person remarking look assanine...except in the midst of their fellow kneejerkers and friends 'living by the forum click's heart beat tick'.
Feel free to go after an arse. Feel free to say Kevin should have been more careful.

But turn your mob mentality needlessly against some nice people who had nothing to do with this...that's BS children.

On Fuelmyblog, I can be sweet as pie. On here, I'm tolerant.

That's why I've created a hacker community just an hour ago to deal with online vigilante justice when it's necessary.

Night kids. Pleasant dreams.

WiFi Detection Shirt

For those wanting to know more about what I'm in to, stuff like this.

Yes, you should be afraid of people like us if you don't donate your old PC parts.

The Happenning: Movie Release 2008

Philadelphia hosted work in August for 'The Happening', starring Mark Wahlberg and Zooey Deschanel. Wahlberg you know of, but Deschanel's been working her way to the top of the food chain from modeling, lesser known movies and roles, learning to make bridges, and finally making a classic lesbian stereotyped character role sexy again for heterosexual males in America.
Can't follow? She's the lead female actor in Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy.
The writer/director for this movie is the same one behind the upcoming live version "Avatar: The Last Air Bender"...that is IF they can get past negotiations and bickering over titles. James Cameron's 'Avatar' is scheduled for 2009, and he's miffed a bit.

Factoid: The movie at this time is being financed by both Fox and a company from India, who will have the market there while Fox maintains in it's territories...which amounts to the rest of the world, basically.
