Daddy Papersurfer's Canadian Trip Delayed

I was really hurt when I recently went through comments over at Daddy Papersurfer's blog, one of our regular Fuelmyblog.com contributors

Yes, comment thread content writing is considered a contribution...and he definately is a part of our team.

It seems fracas someone having an interest in keeping the stereotype that Canada has NO homeless has resorted to vague threats, alluding that if the video; as shown below here a few posts back; is not withdrawn, Daddy Papersurfer will not be able to enter Canada possibly.

Personally, I think this was pretty dirty. I know of a number of bloggers from Canada advocating for the many sex industry workers trying to get out of the business, who by all standards of what the McKinney-Vento Act are considered homeless when 'couch surfing'.

When your homeless, you've got two choices in getting your things from here to there. The first choice is honestly a shopping cart. I'm not ashamed to say that I've personally resorted to using one, since my wife was in the early stages of diabetes and neuropathy then.

The second more realistic choice for those travelling from overseas; since there's not an abundance of ability to get a cart through customs naturally; is to consider investing in luggage sets that are both functional and sturdy.

In Daddy Papersurfer's time of need, I'd say show me the money.

When making the choice of investing in a wheeled luggage set, make sure to consider the following:

Wheels need to be solid hard plastic. Not pieces with seams molded together. Look for wheel hardware that is similiar to the material you'd see on casters on shop quality mechanic stools.

Center of gravity must be stable. Getting over urban obstacles such as curbs, potholes, sand, dirt, and mud can all cause tip overs. Make sure than when fully loaded, your wheeled luggage can remain on it's wheels when negotiating these terrains.

Length of handles must be appropriate to the person using it the most. While gadgets may be sturdy and pretty, having to bend your back 1 degree can cause you to lose balance and ache later when standing in long lines waiting for meals, beds, and medical care lines.

Keep these things in mind, and you're wheeled luggage will be your friend as long as you have it.
