Buzz: Buying Plans Online For Your Home Can Save You Money

For those who've been following this blog, you'll recall my brief time involved with my biological father's framing business in Georgia. I had the chance of seeing first hand what's involved in building homes from the ground up.

Houseplansandmore.com recently asked that I review their site, give some buzz, and generally give my own two cents worth. I'd never checked into such a site before, since my experience has been directly with contractors having already received their blueprints from local architects.

Some of the areas in their site I checked showed selections for homes like Small Ranch House Plans, English Cottage House Plans, and Log Cabin House Plans. Depending on your family's size and makeup, each of those category pages have a number of different plans. The thing I liked most were many included basements...I'm a guy, we need our private spaces.

Roominess for the rest of the family isn't lacking either. All of them are pretty spacious, with plenty of breadth...good walk pathways from all areas and main traffic lanes...something you need when you've got even just one little one in the home...and if you're wondering about the quality of their layouts, this is one of their plans.

Good site if your looking to build one day...like us!
