My Opinion: Baby Carriers for mothers, homeless or not

Yesterday I was asked to check out Ergo Baby Carriers at Shopping.com, and give my opinion and perspective on both their site and their product.

First, the site appeals to many different income levels of customers. The first thing I look at is user navigational choice by price anywhere I shop online. Second, the site's clean with no gutter clutter to distract attention from a potential sale being closed. Third, the eyes are comfortable being drawn into the images on the left, getting additional information in the mid section, and finding cost on the right in a 'scan through' pattern that's high enough for each item to be focused on.
I like the geek behind the code for this company. She/he thinks like I do.
Regarding the specific product line, personally I think they're freaking awesome. I've honestly seen four new mothers over the two years we were homeless actually make their own versions of these carriers, rather than deal with a cumbersome all terrain SUV-version of a stroller.

Ergo carriers allow a woman to position the child where it's easy on the spine, hips, and in different positions of the child in relationship to where the mom wants the baby. They're also a great way for a mother to be able to nurse a child while on the go without being noticed at all walking down the street.

While this is actually an opinion I've been asked to provide; and receiving compensation for; it's also going to be something I bring up to a number of service providers as a replacement. Baby strollers are nice to offer a homeless expectant mother, but when mom needs to hit interviews and appointments on foot throughout a city by bus, they simply get in the way.

This is a good example of when less...is more! Remember, check out the Ergo Baby Carriers. For yourself or for someone who could really use a hand up, not a hand out.
