Invade London, Eat, Sleep, Party, Do!

London, origin and root of all men of America loving food and the home of real music! It's a great time and place to take the kids to for good eats and a taste of the music you loved growing up with, folks.

I did some checking since I thought it'd be cool to see what's available to my friends on the other side of the pond, and now I'm in tears.

The BBC 'Good Food Show' is going on at Olympia in London, from 16 -18 November 2007!
Get in on the action by calling 0870 040 0391 for tickets.
This years food folks include James Martin, Rick Stein, Giorgio Locatelli, John Torode, and a bunch more!

For those of you preferring to leave the limelight to the chicken wing wavers, you can get your Irish on over at the exhibit stalls to go shopping. ANYTHING you want for your kitchen will be there...food, gadgets, books, and probably a bevy of kitchen aides you'd like to hire.
Leave the missus over at the featured show, guys. Trust me on that.
I looked over their offerings that are registered at the moment here, but be warned...the list is updated weekly, so this is only a smattering of what's going down these three days. Bring plastic!

During the show's you'll have all the fun you'll want during the day, but nighttime's a bit different. Local music's there, you can check for yourself...but there's something special in store the end night of the food fun weekend in London, for at most £37.50.

Chris De Burgh!!!!

Chris is playing Sunday night on November 18th at the Hammersmith Apollo on Queen Caroline Street! The man who broke the American minds of teens playing Dungeons and Dragons with his haunting "Don't Pay The Ferryman" will be playing live! Tickets? Get them at Ticketmaster by calling 0870 606 3400!

Lastly, you'll need a place to stay since this is a weekend gig we're looking at. For that, Cheaperthanhotels.com can set you up with last minute or year round rooms or suites usually cheaper than hostels, hotels, apartments that are serviced in cities such as London, Manchester, and Birmingham as well!

This is only ONE of many weekends coming up in the next few months in London that any of my readers in Europe may be able to get away. If you're going to be in the area other times, check those links out...you'll be able to also find what's going on during your specific holiday times as well.

Happy Holiday!
