Site Review: Gift Wisdom

Over the years I remember hearing the stories of extended family members squabbling over what to get Grandma or Uncle Fred. Chances are if GiftWisdom was an option for them then, there'd be more people at family gatherings.

Selecting something special for a relative isn't difficult for most of us, when it's in the 'personal gift' price range. Move into the arena of 'big things'; like furniture, home improvement contracts, and cruises; and your gonna butt heads with Aunt Thelma...along with what Uncle Fred thinks is right.

What I liked about this site is that it gives a person a chance to see 'large' purchases; suitable for groups; as well as lower priced items that you could just opt and get yourself for the person you care about, like this Dom Perignon. Maybe I'll just gift myself, and keep looking for Grandma.

What's neat about this site is the diversity of vendors you can buy from, and remember...this is ultimately about a group of people pooling together for a large gift purchase. Macy's products were spotted, as well as Sharper Image, Ashford, and even Target. All the products were first rate, and good choices for the time when people getting together to brainstorm need all the help they can get.

Maybe I won't get the cruise; yeah, they got 'em there too; I'd hope for, but it's a good bet anyone doing 'group buys' for me won't have to resort to the singing fish on the mantel...again.
