That was a long time ago. Many of the ones grew up, losing the ability to know their one. Some didn't.
It would be a few years later that one of them would resurface on his own, when the others slept or watched from afar. Sometimes chuckling at what was noted, but never being known further. Except him.
He wasn't considered the strongest in any field, with many of them held by others who'd been in the game longer. But as time went by; and the high held ones stood down; he would without question, warning, or breach of the flow come forward to fill the need. In truth the high held ones own rank was their downfall, in not being able to hold it until the last breath. His strength would never be in one field of study, another in concept, or yet ones of logic. His strength was passion.
Where each held to domination through gauntlet run against others, he followed behind in support of those leading. In every leader is a following, and in every leader there is an end. The true matter of what is real lies not in the leader, but in the following that believes in what the leader leads to.
Not for himself, not for the leader, and not even for the followers for whatever the reason they'd tasked their existance to.
He followed for continuity. What each other participant in this virtual cycle of life failed to understand the true power of was what he saw in his mind. Others visualizing linear two dimensional worlds of possibilities, while he saw potentials of things through all planes of space
- and those places to touch points not comprehended or contacted.
The shortest path between two points is a straight line. The shortcut lies not in any turn from the path, but of turning the path's end points unto themselves and arriving at the conclusion of the journey with smiles to the weary travelers making their passages complete.
Chances are this won't be understood, and if not to be then so be it. In our minds we sense we can effect change, but fall short of that while looking at the world before us in it's representation upon our senses. To change the world; any part, grain, or sand of it we stand upon; simply takes one muscle to be flexed in any person's body.
The heart. To believe, to know, and to make change occur in the world only takes one heartbeat. The stronger the beat, the more impact the change.
- The weaker the beat of those that believe stronger can impact more than any legion of strong heartbeats of those that believe little.
