Sunday, HOT Sunday

Today was another one of those 'Stay In Sundays' in Jacksonville. Hot. I waited until 7:00pm to take the younger three kids out to the pool. Going out the door and waiting for one of them to return from dropping off garbage in the dumpster made me realize how hot it was still then.

Took along my PDA, sprayed myself down with bug repellent, and figured I'd work on some things while they played.

Wasn't gonna be. After 10 minutes, the mosquitoes and gnats weren't bad...they were just all above my head! The only thing I could do was jump in with the kids.

My youngest one got time with me working on her breathing and 'not panicking' breathing drills I've taught her. She's been doing really well and doesn't realize she'll be heading for the deep end soon, holding the side of the pool like kids do the first time their ready.

When she heads out with groups going to pools, I won't be as worrysome as I used to be with my older son at first.

After a bit, I got out, dried off, and started checking my PDA for stuff I wanted to know about a Florida rental vacation that'd be cheapest for the family compared to doing the hotel thing at Disney et al.

Right now we're able to walk out our front door and hit the pool. Going on vacation should be that easy away from the attractions, rather than having to worry about who's doing what next door in a hotel. This place I looked at even has a PS2 for the kids, along with the same amenities we've got in our complex where we live.
Sheesh, from the pictures it could pass for our home!
Ended putting it into a future task to do, and got the kids ready for going back home.

Tomorrow's supposed to be hitting 95°F. Add the heat index, and it's bound to be over 100°F! Plenty of fluids, cool down clothes on the neck, and get through the day to get back home, just to do it all over again.

Chances I'll be in the pool at 7:00pm tomorrow night too.
