This just in from my friends at the Jacksonville JayCees:On Friday, 8/24 (next week), come help us staff the Humane Society's annual wine-tasting fundraiser at the Florida Theatre. We'll be handing out glasses, selling raffle tickets, monitoring the silent aution, etc. Fun, easy stuff.
If you want to help out, you'll need to attend a volunteer orientation on Wednesday (8/22) from 6:30 to 8pm at Hodges Blvd Presbyterian Church (4140 Hodges Blvd.) Expect to be at the event on Friday from about 4pm to 7pm. If you want to help but can't make the orientation or can't be at the event for the whole time, please let us know, and we'll see about making other arrangements.
