Rather than look to the past, enthusiasts have outdone the original and created three dimensional versions of the puzzle with 11 layers. Hate to be the guy fiddlin' with it if he forgot to lube his interior of it. Pieces ALL OVAH!
Cool, but not as much as the four dimensional cube whose potential states of existance outnumber the amount of atoms in the universe. That's been solved by under 100 people and ironically can be solved in under 350 twists. How do you 'twist' something...nevermind.
Not to be outdone, there's also a Fifth Dimension Cube! No, it's not the band regenerated from a regeneration, like Devo did with helping form Devo 2.0, which should have been Devo2.
I'm still laughing at the dweebs that couldn't memorize how to do the original cube and force a computer to work over two days to spit out instructions...that they STILL couldn't remember and impress the girls!
