Medical Care For Jacksonville's Working Class Not Able To Afford Insurance

Honestly, there's more good things going on in Jacksonville that never come to the light of day. I picked up this information from today's issue of the Florida Times-Union physical print.

Volunteers In Medicine provides a clinic using volunteer doctors and staff, similar to what's offered at the I.M. Sulzbacher Medical Clinic. While the Sulzbacher has provided medical clinic and resource networking for both homeless and anyone else they could help, Volunteers In Medicine is geared for providing workers professional clinic care they'd otherwise never be able to receive.

Many people believe the stereotype that medical care is afforded all Florida residents. It's not. While children and their parents are covered under Florida's Medicaid program; when within income guidelines; those without children aren't. Many of them have had to resort to waiting three months to receive their 'Shands Card' through Jacksonville's local 'educational hospital'.
People who've been put out of their home, with open weeping wounds, not able to get at least fresh dressings. Yes, I've seen it many times over personally.
At the moment I don't have online information or a link to a site, if they have one. Their located at 41 East Duval Street in Jacksonville, Florida. Hours are Tuesday through Friday: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturday: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. For more information contact them at (904)399-2766.

If you've got a job and don't have medical coverage, give them a call.

If you do have coverage, please note this information for someone you may find needs it.
