The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) will begin changing routes on ten of it's existing bus lines as well as permitting busses to cross the Matthew's Bridge.
Currently there's one line in particular; J1 University Park/Mandarin; that will be split in two from it's original interliner route.
One problem being heard comes from workers living on the one end of this line who've taken jobs on the Southside, specifically call center workers. Some feel the new schedule and having to get another bus will create problems that ultimately will have them looking for work if they can't find a way on time.
Most people using JTA busses don't have a vehicle. Costs of using private taxi service are prohibitive in many cases.
